Chores for Wedded Bliss
When a newlywed couple settles down, they find tiny – yet significant – quirks about each other. A woman discovers her husband’s annoying habit of dumping cigarette ashes in the toilet; and a man discovers that his wife hates having a toilet stinky with cigarette. The husband turns out to be a neat freak who wants no crinkle in the bed sheets; the wife is discovered to sneak midnight snacks into the room, leaving crumbs on the bed. Married people either learn to live with their partner’s eccentricities or change their own annoying habits. Still, each of them learns (hopefully) basic tidying techniques that will please and appease them both.
So, whatever you might discover about your partner in the future, it is best for both of you to be armed with home-making skills. This means learning chores like doing the laundry or cleaning the bathroom. Even if you have a housemaid, there will be times when you will need to employ your cleaning skills. For instance, your household helper might go on a week-long vacation, leaving you both to do the chores.
Another essential skill for wedded bliss is cooking. Aside from being a physiological need, food can warm your partner’s heart. It can be a delightful surprise at the end of a long day. It can also be a time for bonding with each other. Plus, if you and your partner greatly improve your skills, you could save money by cooking special meals instead of constantly dining out. Hosting a party would also be less expensive if you cook your own food. So, you and your fiancé can consider taking up some basic cooking lessons. Cooking and cleaning are only a few preparations that can help you and your fiancé to be responsible and supportive life partners.
